Ridgebacks are fun, active dogs who thrive on going places with their families. Given a good walk each day, they will remain a calm and content companion in the home. A tired dog IS a happy dog!
All of my dogs come with me everywhere I go which includes an almost daily outing to the area woods, fields or beach. Although we've got a fairly large fenced in yard, my dogs rarely spend much time out there unless I happen to be with them or it's a beautiful sunny day and they will hang on the deck in the sun. Don't assume if your yard is fenced that your Ridgeback will not need to be walked.
A good, high-quality diet is critical to a dog's health but a major factor, very often overlooked by owners, is keeping your dogs in top physical condition with daily exercise. Like humans, it's not only good for them physically but they remain happy and mentally balanced to0!
